Best online platform to save the day!

Google Classroom is part of G Suite for Education, and is becoming increasingly common in schools, offering a great way for teachers to connect with students online. 
On the one hand, it offers a way to directly teach, but the provisions of teaching materials also means that students who are unable to attend classes can still be provided with catch-up works and notes, and the same additional homework.

With the recent pandemic forcing a lot of students into distance learning, this means that G Suite for Education can really make a difference to teachers and students who might not have already used an online learning platform.
Google Classroom uses the standard G Suite office software tools such as Google Docs as well as spreadsheet and presentation applications, audio and video conferencing, not to mention Google Drive for online storage. Additionally, there are administrative tools to make it easier for teachers to manage their classes.
A key benefit of Google Classroom is the ability to provide focused feedback in a timely manner. The tool allows for students to submit their work on a date set by the teacher. However, I favour a slightly different approach, where students do not submit their work but let me have constant access and thus make suggestions for improvements. Using the comment feature, I am able to pose questions which encourage students to engage in their errors and work out how to improve. This blended learning approach is proving popular with the students and I am seeing greater engagement and progress. It has brought me great satisfaction to see how students tackle their feedback and how they engage with other students in their group, offering advice and suggestions.

Another key for me is that Google Classroom provides a working environment that increases productivity, allows for greater access to teacher support and enables the teacher to provide speedier and more focused feedback. It is a must for the modern classroom.

Reflection.

Hello everyone!! I really hope you and your families are well and in good health. The past few weeks have been really tough for everyone. We were obliged to change our everyday routines in order to save ourselves and our dear ones. Information about this matter is everywhere. We open the TV and the first thing that we hear in the morning is "Coronavirus". News don't even show the weather anymore. The only topic of discussion is related to it and sometimes it looks like we will never be able to return to our normal lives anymore. Hello everyone,  I hope you are doing well. This week's topic is related to Constructivism. As the word implies, constructivism is the process of learning through the construction of language. Students weight new information against their previous understanding, thinking about and working through differences and then come to a new understanding.  Now lets trace its meaning back into history.
