Develop Phase

Hi everyone. In this blog I am going to talk about the Develop Phase. The Develop Phase induces the media components, such as text, graphics, audio, video, and other forms of animation to design and introduce the media. If these components are used effectively they enhance visual literacy and add other instructional benefits.

One media component worthy of mentioning is graphics. They can be either created from scratch with a computer program or imported from an existing file or scanned from a hard copy or digitized with a camera. Another form of graphic are animations that are graphic files that include movements. They serve to add more information and excitement.

Another media component is audio. These elements can include recorded narration, music, and sound effects Audio can assist students’ learning, as well as add realism, excitement, and motivation to the program.

Audio can be recorded with a computer and stored in a digital format on computer disks, networks, or CD-ROMs. Digitized sounds can be viewed and edited like text. With the appropriate software program, sounds can be selected, cut, copied, pasted, and mixed with other sounds.

Audio is a great way to teach someone a different language or to include sound effects. It needs to be used only when it is appropriate to the content and it shall not distract from the screen display

  1. Well done Xhensila, all of the media components you have mentioned above play an important role on the creation of our projects. A short but very well-explained work. Keep it going:)
